Starwalker Questions

 In Between Worship Services
Back to Full Blog

I'm beginning to feel that life is getting better everyday, not so much that I have a job and my wife doesn't complain about the bacon I take home everyday, so long ago she told me that she would stay with me through thick or thin, but it is more of a definiteness, a sense of direction and purpose, that is brought by attending with her regular worship services at the nearby church, which so eloquently and sincerely praises the Holy Name of Our Creator, and it touches my soul everytime.

The sense of being alive and growing in a way pleasing to God in this life makes living more acute and focused and beautiful because in addition to my philosophizing on the existence of God, the heartfelt yearning of the congregation to truly commune with Him and do His Divine Will on Earth brings all knowledge into perfect perspective. That all our endeavors and dreams are never in vain, for all are in the mind of God.

I hope I will never lose the feeling of being excited to hear God's Word and adoring Him in our next worship service.

Walking in alignment with God is such an impowering walk - You are so ahead of most your age - and I am so happy for you. You and Your Misses will make wonderful parents - When we walk with God - there is a "peace" in our hearts that is unmistakeably HIM.

The main reason we are to go to church is not for hearing God's word - heck - we can hear it on TV or read it ourselves - the reason is to be around people who will keep us in alignment and encourage us to continue to "Walk with God" - Keep walking - keep going - and love, His Love - will always be with you and yours.

Good Job - brother - good job -

I love the way you put it, in the term "alignment". Being with one another, whether in the flesh or cybernetically, gives strength, for I would never categorically state that I am so strong that I don't need my brother or sister in affirming my faith, withstanding trials, nursing hurts, or simply for existing in a not-so-perfect nonetheless beautiful world Our Maker has lent us.

Denial of the need for one another, or glossing over that fact by trying to act so invulnerable and so capable, may be due to some unacknowledged pride.

That is why I am so grateful for my wife, and for you, for just being there, talking to me and so graciously letting me listen to your thoughts and the beauty of your life's learnings, your spirituality, that so many times, it has held me steadfast, rescued me from the brink, of backsliding to my care-free thus care-less former life.

Let's both give Glory to God now and forever!

starwalker,
The man who loses his God, is the lost man.
Love, adoration, however you express it, is
the breakfast of life. To love is a gift, given.
Joe

I love the way you put it, Joe. And breakfast is the best meal of the day. You're absolutely right.
