I don't understand why apocalyptic Christians worship God and at the same time view this world that He created as something evil and will be destroyed someday.
Only God knows the day and hour but they'd always say the time is nigh. Is the world really that so steeped in evil that they want the end of the world to start any moment? They want to be with God in the New Heaven and the New Earth already but is it not that God is also with us in this day? This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad! says the Psalm.
Heaven is a reward as well as a destination and the final Union with Our CReator, but this world is a battleground as well as a beautiful gift!
Praise be your Name O Lord my God for you gave me life and this world I live in. Please protect my friends and my family always, have mercy on us, and we are grateful for Your Creation, this Earth. I love You through my friends and my family.

I have wondered the same thing. Also many christians who are eager for the end - seem to have very strange - death-denying beliefs and fears. seems to me if you are anxious to get to heaven you would want to get there ASAP and not mind if your loved ones beat you there!!!

I believe in God's grace. I agree I don't get the 'our church only' crowd.
