There are many goals of consciousness but what I am concerned with is how God meant for us to look for God by means of our own intuition and reasoning.
The outward direction of attention is more frequent than introspection. Withdrawal from the ‘real world’ is seen in extreme forms of neurosis and manic-depression. Normal consciousness is actualized by ‘looking-outward-to-objects-as-they-are’.
Upon realization of the true nature of your consciousness, a human being interacts with the human reality objectively and pragmatically. When all is said and done, a truly ‘conscious’ human now looks for meaning beyond what has already been perceived up to the final limit, the unperceivable. By then, who knows, God may manifest God in more than what we have intuited God to be.

I wanted to entitle this post as "The Deconstruction of the Bible" but for those who value the Bible as I do, this is not fair. Besides, the meaning of what I said would be "sous erature", pending verification down to the metaphysical level. However, certain questions disturb me as I witness how some 'book-toting' sects use the good book in such excluding language.
My question is: If the Bible is the sole purveyor of the truth, would all those faiths not based on this holy book and their followers all go down to perdition? Would God destroy billions whom God so lovingly created from God's own 'Body'?
I attended one of the worship services of a sect which considers Jesus Christ only as a man, not God. And most of their doctrine is based on the Bible. The minister gave me the shivers when he said that only they, the members of their church, would be saved, while the rest of humanity, would burn in Hell. It says so in the Bible, said he.
I don't know with you, but this is not justice at all. I dare say quoting the Bible ad infinitum doesn't serve God's purposes at all times.
That's why God gave us intelligence. To discern and understand but not to rest comfortably on our traditions to the detriment to the other members of the human race.
UT SINT UNUM! May they be one.

Some religions are guilty of serving as cultural barriers that discriminated and disregarded the humanity of the ‘infidel’, the outside-group person. In the study of history, one discovers that in the name of the faiths that also differentiated nations, tribes, and peoples from each other, massacres and bloody wars were brought upon hapless humans. Even today, the polarizing effect of distinct religious beliefs has spawned terrorism and bloody attrition.
Has this gross human error in judgment been rendered obsolete by modern trappings of society? On the contrary, technology is being utilized to bring the cultural imperialism and religious fanaticism into cities with both beneficial and fatal results.
(See Althusser's Ideological State Apparatuses and Foucault's Discourse Formation to see how religions as social entities form people's minds as well as divide them.- Starwalker)
Can one speak of God with justice by just quoting passages from books written by long dead humanly fallible authors? These sacred books have greatly influenced human minds with the universal truths discernible within their texts, however these same scriptures that reflect distinguishing cultural contexts alienates other cultures, causing disparity and mistrust between peoples.
God has to be worshipped and revealed in modern times in a manner that embraces universal humanity.

After my partner Whom I realized late I loved Left.
After my old mother Living apart Alone Finally closed her eyes.
After a handicap Implored me with his face Rolled away on a wheelchair Looking for hope elsewhere.
After my true friend Trusting in my trust My ego hurt him Stopped hanging up.
I was about to love No one was left To feel a glimmer Of my kindness.
